A Dreamy Wedding at Mitolo Winery: A Floral Affair with Lilli-Anthus
We are thrilled to share the enchanting details of Laura & Stefans’s Mitolo Wines wedding we had the honor of creating floral magic for.
This celebration was not just a wedding; it was a seamless blend of elegance, romance, and culinary delights set amongst the stunning grounds of The Old Chaff Mill in Aldinga and Mitolo Winery in McLaren Vale.
A Ceremony at The Old Chaff Mill
The day began with a heartfelt ceremony at The Old Chaff Mill in Aldinga South Australia Fleurieu Peninsula, a venue that exudes rustic charm and timeless beauty. As guests arrived, they were greeted by an atmosphere steeped in romance, with the historic Mill providing a picturesque setting for this special moment. Our floral arrangements embraced Laura’s love of flowers and blending with the venue’s character, enhancing its natural beauty with delicate, romantic touches.
White reflexed Ecuador roses were “planted by hand” down the aisle and met two garden pillars that we built on the Mill’s stunning vintage gate. The ceremony flowers captured the intimacy of the day and framed the couple beautifully, making for breathtaking photos and an unforgettable backdrop. After the ceremony, guest enjoyed the relaxing environment of the Mills’ Garden and a spread of gourmet delights from Graze and Dine Co.
Reception at Mitolo Winery
After the garden gathering, Door to Door transport services whisked guests away to Mitolo Winery, where the evening transformed into a celebration of fine food and exceptional wine. The reception was an elegant affair, with a focus on showcasing the exquisite culinary offerings that Mitolo is renowned for.
Our floral designs for the reception were crafted to enhance the winery’s sophisticated charm as well as Laura’s deep love for flowers. Amongst the luxurious atmosphere that is Mitolo’s Little Wolf, we built large gardens around the long dining table that was set for a culinary feast. Table centerpieces were clustered down the table along with the most beautiful styling elements and candles from Libby Styles. Libby was a dream stylist to work with and I asked her for a few words about this specular day:
“Laura and Stefan chose their venue for its exquisite fine dining. For the newlyweds, their wedding was all about creating a memorable experience. With this in mind, class, comfort, and style were paramount, with the brief focusing on a luxurious and intimate setting.
I offer event styling as my signature package, with the option to add planning services. My services are designed to alleviate any unwanted stress, resulting in picture-perfect days that leave lasting impressions on guests and, of course, the couple!”

At Lilli-Anthus Floral Design, we were honored to play a part in making this celebration truly memorable.
